I feel like this painting creates such an atmospheric moodiness with the contrasting delicate lilies floating on the water. There is some lovely texture in this piece that I have tried to capture in the detail photos.

Whilst the water colours look like there could be a storm coming the lilies float serenely on top creating another beautiful contrast, suggesting tranquillity amongst the chaos!
