When the Air Shifts explores that fleeting moment when the atmosphere begins to change, when the light softens, the air feels charged and the landscape seems to pause before something new arrives. Soft layers of pale colour move beneath deeper, more dramatic marks, creating a sense of light, distance and movement. Subtle shifts in tone suggest the changing sky, while expressive gestures bring energy and tension to the surface. The painting has been built up gradually, with layers added, partially removed and revealed again. These traces of earlier marks remain visible, giving the work a sense of quiet depth, history and transformation. The contrast between delicate passages and bolder areas invites the viewer to look closely and discover the movement within the painting. When the Air Shifts reflects the beauty of uncertainty and the constantly changing relationship between atmosphere, light and memory. It measures 78x78cm to the edges of the frame. Please note this is a one of a kind artwork & the colours may vary from what you see on your screen.
