Where the Weather Turns explores that moment when the atmosphere begins to shift — when light, colour and the landscape seem to change almost without you noticing. Layers of soft blush, earthy neutrals and smoky greys sit beneath deeper blue-green tones, with areas scraped back and partially revealed. I wanted to leave space within the painting, allowing quieter passages to sit alongside more expressive marks and small unexpected details. There’s no particular place behind this painting. Instead, it holds that familiar feeling of looking towards the distance and sensing the weather changing — something remembered rather than seen. Measurements are 61x76cm unframed.
